In this episode, I kill two missions with one stone. Zach Collins challenged me to “kiss a rat”, but didn’t realize how easy it would be when paired with Seth Melton’s mission, to visit Karni Mata in Deshnok, Rajasthan.
I’ve never seen a religious site so positively full of life as Karni Mata. I’m not just talking about the fact that every surface was covered in rodents, or the number of animals surrounding it, but the people all looked lively and like they were having fun. It’s the type of place where it’s absolutely impossible not to feel good.

Another awesome episode! The music was gorgeous! If I ever manage to get to India, that temple is definitely on my list of places to visit. I’d probably stay there for hours just marveling at the rats. I am a bit surprised though, that with the abundance of food and a safe environ, that they weren’t larger than they were. Guess its only crazy NYC water that makes them as large as cats. Haha

That was very interesting. I hadn’t learned about the Temple of the Rats before now. You lead a very interesting life.
I actually like rats, as well as most rodents in general. When visiting a friend in Wisconsin in the states, I had the pleasure of meeting 4 very friendly rats (Ivy, the grey one, liked to run back and forth on my shoulders).

Thanks for sending me the e-mail to let me know you posted the video.
Glad you enjoyed the trip!
I hope someday in the near future I’ll get the time and money to visit myself.
