SCOOOOOOORE!!!

Monday, February 26th, 2007

I mentioned this weekend that I had a real good excuse for updating my show late. Well, it turns out, it’s actually my show’s fault. In more way than one.

See, one of the missions sent to me was “Get into a Bollywood Film” (suggested by Mr. Paul “PG-13″ Graham). That sorta thing isn’t something you can just run out and do, though, you have to work your way up into a Bollywood career. People spend their whole lives trying to do it. But I take my missions seriously. So, I contacted an agent.

I got word last Thursday that there was a commercial that needed a voiceover man. I sent a few episodes of The Ryan Estrada Expeditions over as a sample of my work, and they liked what they heard. I got a callback on Friday, and that very afternoon starred in a commercial for UTI Mutual Funds.

The director liked my work, and said he was going to spread the word around to all the casting directors he knew, and hook me up with more gigs. Bollywood, here I come.

Things I have started doing at work since my big bollywood break:
- Referring to myself as “The Big E”
- Answering all questions about what I’m doing on the
weekend with “You’ll have to check with my agent”
- Asking everyone at work if they’ve ever been on TV
so I know whether or not I can invite them to my
TV star parties.
- Installed a velvet rope outside my cubicle
- Saying ‘let’s do lunch’ instead of ‘you going down to
the cafeteria?’
- Referring to all Bollywood stars on a first name basis.
