Once again, I solved two missions at once with this episode. Gary Truhn asked me to do something for the Tibetan refugees in Dharmshala. But in doing so, I happened to discover the meaning of life, just as John Wallace challenged me to.

This episode was the hardest to edit. Not because of what went into it, but because of how much got left out. It’s a very sensitive place to film, and showing some things would have caused a lot of trouble for the people there, and their families back in Tibet.
Also, this video will not give you an overview of the political situation between Tibet and China. There are plenty of resources available to learn about it. I just set out to create a portrait of a place, it’s people, and my interaction with them.

Rock on, I was blessed by the Dali Lama when I was very young when I came to the states and I recently saw him speak at University of Buffalo, I would love to meet him again.

I woke up just now and checked to see how many people had watched “The Meaning of Life” since I uploaded it, and the number was 42. There has to be some kind of significance to that.

Beautiful work, I ofcourse love all the coverage of my son who I have not seen in 159 days. On a more serious note, I’m proud of your work, and who you are. As I said before, beautiful work!
